Mr ISHIKAWA Katsutoshi

Consul-General of Japan in Brisbane

Mr ISHIKAWA Katsutoshi arrived in Australia in December 2024 to commence his post as Consul-General of Japan in Brisbane, which has represented the Government of Japan in Queensland since 1966.
Consul-General Ishikawa joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989 and has since held numerous positions in his diplomatic career, including overseas missions in the Middle East and Europe as well as services in the International Cooperation Bureau, Intelligence and Analysis Service, and the Disarmament Non-Proliferation and Science Department of the Foreign Policy Bureau of the Ministry in Tokyo. Prior to his current post as Consul-General, he was Senior Regional Coordinator for the Middle East in the Ministry and also served as Director of International Cooperation for Science & Technology.
